Barn Find

A friend of mine called me and said he had something for me to see, bring a trailer. I told him no. I did not need another project for myself right now. His friend had a 1968 Mustang Convertible, second owner has had it since early 70's. It was in his dad's garage and had been since 1994. Just come look at it, and if you don't want it leave it there. I told him I was sure I wanted it, but more sure I didn't need it. He insisted so off I went. Word of advice never bring a trailer to look at a car you don't need. I saw the car and it was pretty solid, new interior, dirty and will need paint. Opened the hood checked the oil nice and clean and full, coolant was bright green hmm. The owner came out with the keys and a folder of paper work and documents. We talked and the next thing I knew I said if it runs I'll take it. I obviously didn't expect it to run. He said oh it runs, I start it up about once a month. We put a booster on it and drove it on the trailer. Now it has some typical Mustang issues, and one wheel has frozen brakes, but it is sitting in my driveway. I don't need it, didn't want it but couldn't pass it up. I think if I clean it up and free up the brakes I could actually have a driver. What a day.
